Ch. BRANAIRE DU CRU 2008 (Robert Parker: 91)

Details

4 ème Grand cru classé Saint Julien Bordeaux rouge. Spread out over 50 hectaires of quaternary vines from the former Château Beychevelle vineyard, Château Branaire is one of the lesser known jewels of Médoc. The originality of this top quality wine makes it stand out from that of its famous neighbour. Deep purple with exotic spice on the nose, this has fine tannins which coat a plump, concentrated core of black fruits. Creamy with a rewarding long finish, this is a very fine example of typical St Julien with an added precision that lifts it above many of its peers.
